Personal Flotation Device

What is the best Personal Flotation Device (PFD) that can be used with a harness?

The choice of harness determine the PFD. Most Kona One sailors use a seat harness when training and racing. Any life jacket designed for padding tends to work. Take care that the PFD does not interfere with the harness's hook.

With that in mind, using a waist harness makes it more difficult to simultaneously wear a PFD.

I have a Coast Guard approved Extrasport Retroglide PFD and a European approved Spinlock Wing buoyancy vest. The Spinlock buoyancy vest provides about 2/3 of the floatation of the USCG PFD.  The Spinlock is more comfortable and the USCG PFD helps more with waterstarts.  I'm still trying to decide which one I prefer.
